How do I use a Mala? 

When worn throughout the day, they prompt you to be mindful and present, and are a tangible reminder of an intention or personal mantra. Malas aid in healing by infusing a sense of calm, reducing stress, and balancing emotions.

There are many ways to use a Mala during meditation practice.  A good starting point is to hold the first bead next to the Guru bead between the thumb and index finger. As you pull each bead towards you, either chant (in your head or out loud) your chosen mantra, or simply notice and be mindful of every inhale and exhale.
